Ooooh! Ahhhh! Immunoglobulin Therapy!

Today is infusion day! Our Number One needs subcutaneous immunoglobulin therapy to bolster her seriously compromised immune system. It was seriously overwhelming at first, but once you learn the ins and outs of the process, it’s not so bad. I never would have thought I would do so much nursing considering I am not a nurse!

One is hard to understand because her tongue doesn’t work properly. She has both dysarthria and apraxia of the tongue. It takes her a second to get the words from her brain and out her lips.

Please don’t mistake this for a lack of intelligence!
